The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of information security principles and practices, a solid foundation in network security, effective communication skills, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and a desire to grow in a fast-paced environment.Responsibilities

• Assist in the development and implementation of secure network architecture solutions.
• Assist in the deployment and maintenance of security infrastructure components, such as intrusion detection, traffic analysis, and logging systems.
• Collaborate on design, implementation, and maintenance of security controls to protect against cyber threats, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and endpoint security solutions.
• Monitor network traffic for suspicious activities and potential threats.
• Perform technical verification and validation of network security requirements, evaluate, and recommend alternative solutions.
• Conduct basic penetration testing of network systems.
• Respond to network security incidents and assist in incident investigations.
• Provide technical support for network security-related issues.
• Remain up to date on the latest network security trends and technologies.Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information security, network engineering, cybersecurity engineering or related field (or equivalent experience in related field).
  • 2-3 years' experience as a cybersecurity network engineer (or similar).
  • Understanding of TCP/IP, routing protocols, and security products (e.g., firewalls, IPSec, IDS/IPS).
  • Demonstrate strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of Linux and Windows systems.
  • Experience with network automation tools (e.g., Salt, Ansible, Puppet).
  • Knowledge of hypervisors, virtualization technology, and virtual desktop infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of Virtual Machines (VMs), VM capabilities, and containers.
  • Possess basic scripting skills, such as Bash, Python or PowerShell.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Applicants selected must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance; therefore, U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • One or more of the following certifications: CCNA-Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, Security 5, SSCP, or equivalent.Education
