Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled and experienced Diesel Fleet Mechanic Technician III to join our team at Sysco. As a key member of our fleet maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our vehicles and equipment.Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections and maintenance tasks on our fleet vehicles and equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Diagnose and repair complex issues with vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, and electrical systems.
• Conduct preventive maintenance inspections and repairs on refrigeration units, lift-gates, and other equipment.
• Address driver vehicle inspection report write-ups in a timely and efficient manner.
• Mentor and train junior technicians to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their duties effectively.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.QualificationsEducation and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; 2-year degree in a related field or 4 years of experience in fleet maintenance and repair.
  • Medium/heavy duty truck technical training preferred.Certifications and Licenses
    • Annual Inspector Certification, Brake Inspector Certification, ASE certifications, and EPA section 608 and 609 certifications required.Working Conditions
      • Working conditions may include exposure to extreme temperatures, noise, and physical demands.
      • May be required to work non-traditional business hours, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
