Job Description:

Maxar is hiring a Principal/Chief Engineer --for a High Performance Computing (HPC) environment and will be responsible for the oversight and overall delivery of HPC and private cloud solutions developed for multiple customer program offices.

As the Chief Engineer for the HPC solutions team, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing the overall work effort and products of the engineering and system administration staff over the full lifecycle of programs and projects for engineering, integration and deployment. This includes performing systems requirements analysis, functional analysis, timeline analysis, trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition, technical management, architecture design, integration, system testing, and quality assurance.--

This role requires exceptional ingenuity, creativity, and resourcefulness to oversee system definition, technical planning, and execution across different parts of the program.

We are a multi-faceted software development and systems administration team working to build and maintain software applications backed by a self-managed high-performance compute (HPC) infrastructure on a private cloud system. ---We use a lean systems engineering approach, where engineers are part of an agile, cross-function development and deployment team and directly involved in supporting the delivery of value to the mission--
Our diverse background of experience in mission support and software development serves as a catalyst to solve unique and challenging intelligence problems.--
Technical support, coordination, and execution of engineering activities for hardware, platforms, and software development and deployment - including feature/requirements analysis, design and program implementation-----
Define processes for technical platforms, system specifications, input/output and working parameters for hardware and/or software compatibility-----
Obtain solid understanding of hardware and software features in order to plan for engineering requirements and roadmaps--
Keeps abreast of the dynamic industry of cyber security, technologies, and developing threats world-wide.--
Manage/supervise professional staff, demonstrating strong delegation skills to efficiently accomplish the mission and professionally develop subordinate staff.--

Current/active TS/SCI security clearance and be willing and able to obtain CI polygraph.-----
BS in Engineering or related field or equivalent experience with 15+ years in computer science, systems development, product development, system engineering or related field-----
Experience in leading a professional staff, demonstrating strong leadership skills.--
Ability to set and balance short and long-term priorities and remain focused within a rigorous, fast-paced, and dynamic environment.--
Familiarity with risk management-----
Experience working in the DoD / Intelligence Community
