Job Description BAE is seeking a highly skilled and experienced
VoIP Subject Matter Expert (SME) with a deep understanding of
Microsoft solutions to join our dynamic team. The VoIP SME will
design, implement, and optimize Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP)
systems while leveraging advanced Microsoft technologies including
Microsoft Teams. The ideal candidate will have strong technical
expertise, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to
work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.Key
Responsibilities:
- Consult the design, deployment, and support of VoIP systems,
ensuring robust, scalable, and secure solutions.
- Support Configuration, management, and optimization of
Microsoft-based UC platform Microsoft Teams Voice.
- Support Integration of VoIP systems with existing
infrastructure, including Active Directory, Exchange, and Office
365.
- Analyze business requirements and develop technical solutions
to meet organizational communication needs.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex VoIP-related issues, ensuring
minimal downtime and high service quality.
- Develop and maintain detailed documentation, including network
diagrams, configuration files, and process workflows.
- Stay updated on VoIP and Microsoft technology trends,
recommending innovative solutions to improve communication
systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including network,
security, and IT operations, to ensure seamless integration and
optimal performance.
- Perform capacity planning, monitoring, and performance tuning
of VoIP systems.
- Train and mentor team members on VoIP and Microsoft
technologies.Required Education, Experience, & Skills Required
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology,
or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years of experience in VoIP systems design, implementation,
and support.
- Deep expertise in Microsoft Unified Communications platforms,
including Microsoft Teams Voice and Skype for Business.
- Strong knowledge of Session Initiation Protocol (SIP),
Real-time Transport Protocol (RTP), and QoS for VoIP
applications.
- Experience with Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and Exchange
integration.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting VoIP call quality and
connectivity issues using tools like Wireshark and other packet
analyzers.
- Solid understanding of networking principles, including VLANs,
NAT, firewalls, and SBCs.
- Experience with enterprise-grade VoIP equipment, such as Cisco,
Avaya, or similar systems.
- Certification(s) such as Microsoft Certified: Teams Voice
Engineer Expert, CCNP Collaboration, or equivalent.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for technical
and non-technical audiences.Preferred Education, Experience, &
Skills Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in a related field.
- Experience with hybrid cloud and on-premises VoIP
environments.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements, such as E911 compliance
and VoIP security standards.
- Familiarity with PowerShell scripting for automation and
configuration of Microsoft UC platforms.
- Background in project management with the ability to lead
technical projects end-to-end.
- Experience with call center or contact center solutions and
integrations.
- Advanced certifications, such as Microsoft Certified: Azure
Solutions Architect Expert or equivalent.Pay InformationFull-Time
Salary Range: $112420 - $191070Please note: This range is based on
our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are
determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to:
business considerations, local market conditions, and internal
equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills,
