Job Title: Cath Lab Technician Job Specialty: Radiology/Cardiology Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day, 4x9-Hour (07:00 - 16:30), Monday through Friday Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Minimum of 2 years required, including one prior travel assignment License: Must have a valid state license. Certifications: - Basic Life Support (BLS) - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - ARRT - Certified by the MD Board of Physicians Must-Have: - Experience with diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization - Familiarity with procedures like ASD closures, cardiac device closures, stent placement, diagnostic catheterizations, IABP placement/removal, left/right heart catheterization, PCI, and temporary pacemaker insertion - Skills in accurate monitoring, equipment setup, EKG lead placement, access site preparation, life-threatening arrhythmia recognition, room circulation, scrubbing, and maintaining a sterile field - Experience with vascular closure systems such as Perclose and StarClose - On-call availability: 10 shifts/month, including specific weekend requirements Job Description: - Work as a Cath Lab Technician in a dynamic and specialized unit handling 5 cases per day - Provide care primarily to adult and geriatric patients - Participate in on-call duties with specified shifts and weekend requirements - Preferred experience in electrophysiology lab, interventional radiology, and special procedures - Maintain safety and protocol standards, including isolation precautions and utilizing the rapid response team when necessary - Complete required modules and orientation Additional Information: - Orientation consists of 28 hours - Flu vaccine required; no exemptions allowed
