Job Title: Registered Nurse --- Vascular Access Job Specialty: IV Nursing Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 8 (10:00 AM - 6:30 PM), Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Minimum of 2 years of ICU RN experience and some infusion experience preferred License: Must have RN licensure for both Maryland and Washington D.C. Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), EPIC Must-Have: Mid-line and Peripherally Inserted Central Catheter (PICC) placement experience; PICC Certification Job Description: - Assess patients' need for the placement of a vascular access device. - Determine the appropriate type and location of the vascular access device. - Ensure safety standards are met for line placements. - Serve as an expert in vascular access line placement, including peripheral lines, midline catheters, and Peripherally Inserted Central Catheters in a clinical setting. - Assist with troubleshooting vascular access issues under nursing leadership direction. - Provide expert guidance to team members managing these devices. - Start with Washington D.C. licensure pending completion of requirements.
