Job Description
X-energy, LLC is seeking experienced professionals to join our team in the role of Director, Construction Projects. This role is responsible for overseeing the successful completion of all activities related to the construction of assigned X-energy projects. This position plays an integral role in the formulation and adherence to construction policies and programs for assigned projects. In addition, this position will contribute to the overall administration and technical direction, coordination, and direct line responsibilities for field construction, including maintaining and ensuring safety training and compliance is maintained; including taking the necessary steps to stop work if continuing the job is unsafe.

Responsibilities

• Directs the management and coordination of construction projects from conception to completion as assigned.
• Provides oversight of contractor work, including facility construction and systems installations, such as power, I&C, HVAC, cooling water, compressed air, and process gases.
• Reviews project construction estimates and schedules for acceptability. Also reviews specifications and drawings for constructability.
• Participates in the resolution of problems involving material delivery and contract/subcontract administration.
• Coordinates with internal stakeholders and other functional departments and personnel in establishing and maintaining priorities to ensure the success of the project.
• Identifies issues for the leadership to ensure the success of the project.
• Provides guidance to site staff to facilitate the successful execution of the construction project.
• Participates in the development and/or review of operations controls, such as project procedures.
• Participates in project planning and scheduling of assigned construction deliverables.
• Reviews and approves preliminary project plans and schedules as assigned.
• Monitors expenses in the field and tracks material quantities both received and installed.
• Monitors construction personnel performance, quality, safety, and technical adequacy.
• Ensures that the appropriate field procedures are in place and being adhered to.
• Provides periodic reports regarding construction operations.
• Ensures that appropriate project training programs are being implemented.
• May be expected to present project management performance plans, status updates, trends, or issues to internal and external stakeholders as assigned.
• Promotes a culture of safety.
• Maintain professional demeanor and behavior at all times in all forms of communication.
• Perform other duties as necessary.
  
  Minimum Qualifications
  
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
  • Typically, fifteen or more years of relevant work experience in construction project management.
    
    Location: 530 Gaither Road, Rockville, MD.
    Work Site Expectations : On-Site
    Travel: 10%
    Hours: 8:00am-5:00pm, Mon-Fri
    
    Compensation
    
    As required by Maryland and other applicable state law, X Energy, LLC (X-energy) lists the expected compensation range for a publicly advertised job opportunity based upon the job requirements (e.g. education/training, experience, skill sets, etc.). Individual candidates who meet the job requirements for the posted position will be offered a salary within this range based on their respective levels of education/training, experience, and other qualifications unique to them. Salary ranges may vary based on the specific office location and region referenced in the posting to take into consideration differences in cost of living and may not be reflective of all regions. Please note that compensation ranges listed for US job postings reflect base salary only and do not include benefits or other incentives.
    
    A reasonable estimate for this position at the level of experience required is:
    $165,000- $208,725. The compensation for this position is comprised of base salary plus an annual short term incentive which is variable, based on scope of responsibility and achievement of goals.
