Location: Vienna, VA (HYBRID)
Duration: Inital 6 months plus extensions
Compensation: $70.00 - $78.00/hr
Work Requirements: USC, GC or Authorized to work in US

CLOUD ENGINEER

Responsibilities: Provide subject matter expertise in distributed and cloud technologies.
Ensure appropriate thought and considerations are applied to sizing and performance metrics of the new cloud banking core.
Instrumental in driving Cloud based models such as PaaS and SaaS based applications preferably on Oracle cloud and/or Azure.
Experience in SaaS platform administration and configuration to include best practices around security methods.
Resource availability as needed for on-call support on production operations.
Cloud Administration experience within SaaS and PaaS layer.
Implement and maintain security best practices to protect cloud data, identities in compliance with PCI standards.
Experienced in Monitoring system performance, analyze metrics, and scale resources as needed.
Design, develop, test, and deploy Application Integrations within Cloud SaaS/PaaS layers.
Develop APIs, interfaces, and web services to enable application integration.
Develop automation scripts and tools to streamline cloud provisioning, monitoring, and management tasks.
Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform and Resource Manager.
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including infrastructure, application development, and testing teams

Qualifications: BS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems preferred or equivalent experience.
Minimum 10+ years of combined experience in development of distributed on-prem, migrated on-prem to cloud and green field cloud-based systems.
Proven experience delivering external SaaS based products such as Oracle Banking and/or Zafin.
Instrumental in driving Cloud based models such as PaaS and SaaS based applications preferably on Oracle cloud and/or Azure.
Strong technology background covering Core banking systems as well as industry knowledge of best practices in cloud PaaS/SaaS/IaaS offerings.
Proven experience supporting modernization efforts for high volume financial core systems.
Life Cycle experience in migrating on-prem assets to cloud.
Excellent project and program management skills, oral, and written communications.
Knowledge of change and release management processes.
Experience working in client-focused service delivery environments.
Proven ability to develop and manage contracts, budgets, and schedules.
Able to effectively manage and mentor team members.
Must have excellent written and oral communication skills

Desired Qualifications: Experience in Cloud Core Banking products.
Microsoft Azure, Oracle Cloud and/or AWS Solution Architect certification(s).
Familiarity with banking and financial industry standards and practices.
Technical certifications in SAFe/Scaled Agile and/or other technologies a plus

Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00AM - 4:30PM
