The Simulator Software Engineer for the Crane Clean Energy Center
is in Middletown, PA (near Harrisburg). This role can be filled at
Mid-level or Senior level. Responsible for Creating and modifying
simulation software logic and dynamic models used at a nuclear
power plant in the Main Control Room Simulator, including simulator
software maintenance, model minor plant modifications, and
enhancements with minimal support. Functions independently and
advises Constellation's Training Department on simulator
technology. Works closely with the training department, project
managers, and site engineers to ensure compliance with project
needs. Expected to work efficiently with minimal supervision.

Develop and/or review project technical architecture design and
development. Solutions may include but are not limited to the
development of various types of applications.
Ensure all risks and issues that affect the projects are captured
and are actioned appropriately.
Enhance knowledge of and compliance with preferred technologies,
methodologies, standards, and policies. Provide technology
solutions by weighing advantages of technology trends, market
availability of products, risks, and benefits of technology to meet
business needs.
Create/modify and document simulation software logic and dynamic
models to meet the business needs for simulator software
maintenance, minor plant modifications, and enhancements with
minimal support from peers or vendors.
For Site Main Control Room Simulator Projects: plan, design, build
or manage high quality IT software solutions
Software configuration management
Maintain engagement with the Site Training Department to provide
support for emergent problems, Simulator Review Board support,
Emergency Preparedness drill preparation, Training load releases,
Instructor drill development, and IT security / exam security.
Participates in projects for other sites in the fleet as
required.

SENIOR LEVEL, MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree (ex: Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or
related discipline) and 5 years of relevant experience (programming
technologies) or minimum 9 years of relevant combination of
education and work experience, for E03 Senior Engineer position
Demonstrated ability to lead small to medium teams in delivering
software solutions and work effectively with remote project
teams
Demonstrates strong software development capabilities coupled with
the ability to work under tight deadlines
Strong understanding of advanced programming concepts, data
structure, and algorithms
Proficient in FORTRAN and C programming languages
Experience in coding Logic and Dynamic systems
Proficient with installing, configuring, and maintaining Windows
Operating Systems (personal and server)

Bachelor&rsquos degree (ex: Engineering, Physics, Computer
Science, or related discipline) and 2 years of relevant experience
(programming technologies) or minimum 6 years of relevant
combination of education and work experience, for E02 Engineer
position.
Demonstrated ability to lead small to medium teams in delivering
software solutions and work effectively with remote project
teams
Demonstrates strong software development capabilities coupled with
the ability to work under tight deadlines
Strong understanding of advanced programming concepts, data
structure, and algorithms - Proficient in FORTRAN and C programming
languages - Experience in coding Logic and Dynamic systems - Strong
problem-solving and debugging skills. - Proficient with installing,
configuring, and maintaining Windows Operating Systems (personal
and server)
SENIOR LEVEL, PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Nuclear Engineering and 7+
years engineering experience
Knowledge of business practices and processes in Nuclear Power
Plant Operations
Knowledge of graphic design software
Experience with modeling systems and Simulator model builder
software (e.g., Experience with Simulator Executive Systems (e.g.,
Experience with engineering print reading
Experience leading small IT projects or sub-teams and knowledge of
IT project management
Experience with GIT configuration management
Experience with network topology
Experience with creating software interface protocols.
