General Summary:
In this role, you will assist in providing technical support to
improve the reliability of packaging operations through learning
how to follow and implement continuous improvement methodologies.
The successful candidate will have a strong focus on safety,
excellent communication skills, and the ability to prioritize work
assignments in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Functions: Promote a safety culture and awareness within
the area of responsibility.
Assist with design and modify new products and equipment, as well
as supporting existing designs.
Helps identify processing and packaging improvement opportunities
using Lean manufacturing techniques.
Creates, manages, and executes the CI systems and processes that
improve OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) through the Company's
Lean pillars of 5S & Visual management, Lean Daily Management, and
Kaizen Projects.
Utilize root cause analysis techniques to solve issues in a
permanent and sustainable manner.
Help identify potential issues and mitigate risks using failure
mode and effects analysis.
Leverages process data and other digital solutions to track
operational key performance indicators (KPI) such as production
throughput, unplanned downtime, and scrap. Generates reports,
trends and Pareto charts to drive targeted actions and
countermeasures to the plant abnormalities.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address technical
challenges and achieve objectives.
Work with the Training department to build and develop effective
training systems and organize training sessions as needed. SME for
Training Within Industry (TWI).
Help create and update standard work to promote training and
sustainment.
Ensure fair and consistent adherence to local and corporate
policies and procedures.
Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Ability to communicate clearly
and concisely in multiple media forms - verbal, written, etc.
Organizational and time management skills.
Ability to prioritize work assignments in a fast-paced work
environment.
Knowledge of production operation, including equipment, materials,
workflow, etc.
Ability to always maintain absolute confidentiality and in all
situations.
Education: Currently pursuing a degree in Engineering or a related
field.
Familiar with using RCA, fishbone, 5-why, quick kaizen, and FMEA
methodologies.
Computer skills, including in MS Office Suite, MS Power BI.
Strong desire to learn and grow in all areas, as well as the
willingness to share knowledge with others.
