Automation Engineer - Permanent Full Time - Perth CBDWe're
seeking a talented Automation Engineer to join our dynamic
Engineering & Design team. In this role, you'll play a key part in
delivering cutting-edge automation solutions and substation control
systems that ensure the safe, reliable, and cost-effective delivery
of electricity to our customers. Make a meaningful impact on the
future of energy!Your Role in Action
- To analyse a problem and to propose cost effective solutions in
its resolution.
- To effectively plan for the most expedient delivery of a given
project making the most efficient use of the resources
available.
- To manage risk in the delivery of Automation solutions.
- Apply the relevant Australian and international standards in
design.
- Ensure compliance to Western Power standards and network
technical rules.
- The delivery of technical solutions, engineering processes and
system optimisation.
- Developing one's own skills and technical expertise and
accepting coaching where required.
- Managing one's own performance and improving personal
effectiveness.What Makes You a Great Fit
- Degree qualification in Engineering (Electronics, Electrical,
Computing), ICT, or Networking, requiring at least four years of
university-level study or an equivalent qualification.
- Solid engineering experience in SCADA systems, particularly
with regard to power transmission and distribution, with an ability
to read schematic diagrams.
- Familiarity in the hardware employed and the nomenclature used
with regard to Primary and Secondary systems as utilised in
Transmission and Distribution Substations.
- A detailed understanding and working knowledge of SCADA system
designs, SCADA RTU and Gateway configurations, PLC configuration,
HMI configuration, Ethernet switch and router configurations and
database systems.
- The ability to operate in the field for prolonged periods of
time in remote locations.
- Valid WA Driver's License Class 'C' or 'C-A'By joining Western
