dedicated and driven professional in strategy and program
management to join our team. The ideal candidate will collaborate
with multiple stakeholders to oversee the implementation of the
Institutional Strategy through the new IDB Group Impact Framework
and provide valuable insights to support decision-making by senior
management and the Board of Directors.You will be part of the
Strategic Planning and Monitoring Division (SPD/SMO), which falls
under the Office of Strategic Planning and Development
Effectiveness (SPD). SPD is responsible for providing technical
guidance to foster a culture of results within the Bank, as well as
helping innovate its core business and ensure the ongoing
effectiveness and efficiency of its products and methods.As part of
SPD, the Strategic Planning and Monitoring Division (SPD/SMO), is
responsible for:
- Developing the Institutional Strategy and strategic proposals
for its implementation, contributing to defining the IDB's role in
best serving the evolving needs of its clients.
- Leading the review and design of operational instruments.
- Monitoring the Bank's performance in alignment with the
priorities outlined in the Institutional Strategy.
- Administering and monitoring the information system that tracks
the performance of SG loan operations.
- Acting as Management's liaison with the Office of Evaluation
and Oversight (OVE).
- Ensuring the alignment of the Bank's organizational structure
and business processes with its objectives.
- Ensuring that the Bank's information systems support
results-based management at all levels.What you'll do:
- Collaborate as part of a team to coordinate the collection of
Impact Framework data across the IDB Group.
- Coordinate the reporting on the Impact Framework through a new
public website and internal progress dashboard.
- Support the enhancement of the Bank's use of Impact Framework
and other performance metrics in planning and decision-making
processes.
- Develop strategic assessments and analyses.
- Support the development of periodic reports on Impact Framework
progress.
- Contribute to the development of the IDB business plan.
- Develop strategic documents, presentations, and reports to
support meetings with senior management.
- Support improvements to business processes and tools.
- Support the capture of the IDB Group's contributions to the
Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
- Develop and maintain relationships with counterparts in
comparator organizations.What you'll need
- Education: Master's degree in public administration, business
management, international development, or other fields relevant to
the role's responsibilities.
- Experience: At least five years of relevant professional
experience in program or project management, strategy, management
consulting, advisory or similar roles.
- Languages: Proficiency in both spoken and written Spanish and
English is required. Additional knowledge of French and Portuguese
is preferable.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a
fast-paced environment.
- Experience managing projects and programs.
- Experience working cross-functionally and managing multiple
stakeholders.
- Ability to communicate and influence senior audiences.
- Strong analytical, qualitative, and problem-solving
skills.Requirements
- Citizenship: You are a citizen of one of our 48-member
countries.
- Consanguinity: You have no family members working at the IDB,
IDB Invest, or IDB Lab.Type of contract and duration
- International staff contract, 36 months initially, renewable
