Description:The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is responsible for
overseeing the financial operations of the organization, ensuring
the effective management of financial risks, opportunities, and
planning. The CFO will play a key role in shaping the company's
financial strategy, managing financial performance, and leading
financial planning, budgeting, and reporting. This role requires a
strategic and visionary leader, with experience in financial
management, regulatory compliance, and corporate governance. This
position reports directly to the CEO and is a member of the
organization's senior leadership team.KEY
RESPONSIBILITIES:Financial Management, Reporting & OversightProvide
strategic financial insights and recommendations to the CEO, senior
leadership team, and the Board to drive business decisions and
financial goals.Oversee all financial activities, including
accounting, financial reporting, tax, budgeting, and
forecasting.Manage the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and
annual financial statements and reports in accordance with
accounting principles and industry standards.Ensure timely
preparation of financial audits, working closely with external
auditors and ensuring adherence to audit schedules and
requirements.Ensure proper internal controls are in place and that
the organization adheres to regulatory standards for financial
reporting and corporate governance.Monitor financial performance
against the budget and provide timely, accurate financial analysis
and reports to the CEO and Board of Directors.Lead the management
of corporate banking relationships and investments.Manage the
company's risk management framework and insurance programs to
safeguard the organization's assets.Collaborate with HR on
Benefits, Employee Relations that involve law enforcement and other
legal concerns.Team Leadership & DevelopmentLead and develop team
consisting of finance, risk management and facilities staff.Foster
a culture of continuous improvement in financial management
processes and team performance.EDUCATION and/or
EXPERIENCEBachelor's degree (B.A.) in Business Administration or
Accounting; minimum five years full-charge bookkeeping experience;
minimum five years supervisory experience of accounting and
statistical personnel; or equivalent combination of education and
experience. Previous experience working within a non-profit
organization, desirable. KEY SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:Analytical

complex financial data and provide actionable insights.Leadership:
Demonstrated leadership capabilities in managing teams, driving
financial performance, and fostering a collaborative work
environment.Communication: Excellent communication and
interpersonal skills to work effectively with senior management,
board members, staff, and external stakeholders.Technology
Proficiency: Strong proficiency in financial management software
and advanced Excel skills.Problem Solving: Strong decision-making
and problem-solving skills to navigate complex financial challenges
and provide innovative solutions.Ability to respond appropriately
to the cultural differences present among the agency's service
